BLEWJOB vs Krantz (ELDERWAND) from 2M2MM

on Aug17

Hello Poker World!

First off, I want to tell a little bit about myself.  I‘ve been an online professional poker player for about 3 years now but a recreational player for many years before that.  My usernames online are BLEWJOB on most sites, and BL3WJ0B on some sites when BLEWJOB was not available.  I’ve wanted to start a blog for a while now, but figured no one would read it as I was just another quiet Internet Grinder. I didn’t know that I’d soon join the ranks of the Online Poker Phenoms.  Nevertheless with 2 Months 2 Million giving me (and all of my tells~) some major exposure, I suspect I might be able to get a few of you to read my blog. The thought of writing is less daunting now; knowing that this just might get read is enough motivation for me to write while I wait for action…

If any of you guys watched the first episode of 2M2MM, you’d have notice I was one of the main focuses of that episode. Trust me, I had no idea I would be on the show. In fact, it wasn’t until after the showed aired that I receive a bombardment of IM’s and phone calls telling me about it! Everything still seems a bit surreal. So this is how the story begins: When ELDERWAND first sat, he was new to Ultimate Bet so I decided to give him a shot. Before playing, I asked him what his Full Tilt name was. His response was something along the lines of, “I didn’t ask you what yours was.” In all honesty, had I known he was Krantz or “Pr1nnyraid,” I would have never played him. But I guess ultimately I should thank you for not telling me who you were. Lol

According to the first episode of 2 Months 2 Million, I was up over $100k on ELDERWAND at one point and then he made a bit of a rally. I believe he made back about $60-$70K from me but that was by no means the end of our battles. In fact… things were only just beginning! By a twist of fate, during these epic sessions, VIPRakeback.net, my Rakeback provider of choice, had asked me to take screenshots of my play so they could use them for promotional material. We had absolutely no idea this would air on TV! Below is a picture of ELDERWAND and me dancing late into the night…

I’ll update this blog with more Hand Histories, Screenshots, and an un-blurred graph of my match w/ Krantz after the next few episodes of 2 Month 2 Million. Shout Out to ch3ckraise, the originator of Bing Blang Blaow (bingblangblaow.com – coming soon)!

What is your real name? Its fascinating to hear from the other side of the story. I look forward to keeping up with your online escapades. How long did it take you to get to the mid-stakes? I keep getting busted when I move up. Good luck!

Hello everyone, thank you for your interest in my blog! I will be posting regularly from now on out. Matt Flynn, I would not want to ruin the next few episodes for everyone! That would just be cruel. Ron, it took me quit a long time to go from the low stakes to the mid stakes, about 8 months. I think it took me so long because when I started I didn’t read a single book, nor did I get any training from any site or person. I started with a $300 deposit playing 10c 25c 6 max and moving up when I had 20 buy-ins. If you keep busting your account for playing too high, try to move up when you only have 20 buy ins, ex: $1-$2 = $4,000 bankroll. Rakeback helps build bankrolls also, go to http://www.viprakeback.net and look at all the rakeback offers they have and choose a site to play on so you can get rakeback. Rakeback will help you reach where you want to be sooo much quicker and still save you tons when your at that point.

    Thanks Everyone,

    BLEWJOB

    Hey Blew,

Can you tell me what software you use to get that graph where you show your hand on the x axis and $ on the y axis? Is it pokertracker or something else? Can I get it free? Great job online and I wish u gl in the future

Great blog BJ. Feel free to check out mine if you get a chance. You seem like a really good guy and will fit in well at DC if you decide to join the community.

I thought the show skewed things a bit because I thought you beat him for around $100k when everything was all said and done.

  12. 13

I will be on future episodes

  13. 14

@Dave, I’m not entirely sure… but either way after the next episode of 2 Month 2 Million, we’ll post up the full un-blurred graph so everyone will be able to see how things turned out in the end. Out of respect of the guys of the show, we’re going to wait till after it airs.

    Hi Blew,

I just found out you were on here. That’s very cool to have such a successful guy in our midst.

Under the current conditions of the NLHE games, what would you say is the single best video (DC or whatever) or piece of advice you could share with me that would help me move up to the midstakes from the low. I play FR by the way.

Thanks for anything you can share.

    LH

  15. 16

I don’t know if I can pinpoint 1 particular video to watch as a lot of them really are quite helpful. But some words of advice…

    1. Don’t get ahead of yourself especially in regards to bankroll management. Slow and steady is better than being a streaky player. I know a lot of people that can make a lot of money quickly, but a few months later they are busto.

    2. I’d recommend getting Holdem Manager to track your poker progress and to review your sessions afterwards. This will help you find your leaks/errors.

Any other questions? I suggest you start a thread in the Forum with any questions and I’ll be sure to spend more time answering them/being more specific k?

Hey Blew, I have an account on fulltilt where I just play fake chips but I have a couple hundred on another site. Ftp won’t allow me to get rakeback if I deposit now since I already have an account. Do you know of any ways around this? As I am just beginning my poker career I feel I would be leaving money on the tables if I play on ftp longterm w/o rakeback.

    Thanks

    Bryan

  17. 18

    Hey Bryan,
Well from my understanding, if you have an account at FTP, NO rakeback site like VIPRakeback.net or anyone else will be able to get you rakeback at FT.

You definitely will want to have Rakeback… I know that it helped me a lot when I got started. I suggest that you consider playing on another poker site that you currently don’t have an account at. Be sure to sign up to the new poker room through VIPRakeback.net, following their instructions so that you get signed up with rakeback. I recommend that you consider Players Only or Carbon Poker, both sites are perfect for up and coming players like yourself. Also I just checked, VIPRakeback.net is holding some pretty damn powerful promotions for members that play at PO or Carbon.

    Hope I helped!
